ABOUT

Knight caravan is a privately owned, dog friendly caravan on the Primrose Valley site near Filey. It is owned by the Knight family.

If you contact us by text, e-mail or phone, you will usually get through to Carol.

Occasionally you will speak to Stuart or Mark. The website is updated by Alison,

aided by our Shih Tzu's  Amber, Gizmo and Caramel.

We want you to have an enjoyable holiday at our caravan.  We use the caravan ourselves

for breaks and make sure that the things that we need at home are also at the caravan,

making it a home from home.

We have a pet friendly caravan as we believe that, just because you have a pet, it doesnt mean you have to go away to the most basic accomodation available. We know that pet owners take pride in their homes and deserve the best accomodation available.  We also make sure to give the caravan a regular deep clean, so that our non pet-owning guests won't find any evidence of any four legged guests when they stay.

Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions

Places to visit while at Primrose Valley

Although there is plenty to do onsite while staying at Primrose Valley, we realise that no everybody wants to stay on the site all holiday.   Below is a list of places for you to visit, all less than an hours drive from Primrose Valley.

FILEY

Just a 20 minute walk along the beach or a 3 mile drive from the caravan site takes you into this quiet seaside town.

Places to visit in Filey include

Glen Gardens, Crescent Gardens,

Filey Bird Garden and Wildlife Park, Filey Dams Nature Reserve and Filey Brigg.

The Evron Centre is a multipurpose venue with a theatre, concert hall and exhibition space. There are craft fairs, shows and concerts on throughout the year.

.

SCARBOROUGH

A 25 minute drive north takes you to Scarborough with all its attractions and large shopping areas.

You can spend the day on the beach, go for a cruise on the Regal Lady or a trip on the speedboats.

Visit Peasholm Park and take a ride on the North Bay railway to the sea life centre, spend the afternoon in the Alpamere water park. Watch a show at the Spa complex. The list is endless!

Add the large variety of places to eat and you'll be spoiled for choice.

BRIDLINGTON

Drive 20 minutes south and you reach the town of Bridlington, where the land train will take you on a journey along the promenade.

Bridlington is large than Filey but smaller than Scarborough and has all the high street shops you would expect, a large beach and promenade. All year round fun fair rides and a busy harbour.

Just outside Bridlington is the John Bull Rock Factory. You can take a tour round the factory and make your own chocolate lolly and rock.

FLAMBOROUGH HEAD

On the way to Bridlington is Flamborough Head where the lighthouse has helped ships safely to harbour for hundreds of years.

You can enjoy spectacular views and walks and even explore the lighthouse (open certain times). There is also a pub/restauraunt where you can have a meal or just a pint or slice of cake.

NORTH LANDING

One of the many beaches around Flamborough, this small cove has stunning rock formations and caves to explore. The beach is mostly pebbles rather than sand, there is quite steep path down to the beach, but it is worth the walk.

At the top of the cliff is a cafe, and there is a small kiosk inside the old lifeboat house at the beach.

In summer you can take a boat trip round to view the birds at Bempton Cliffs.

WHITBY

About an hours drive North takes you to the stunning harbour town of Whitby, made famous as the home of Dracula.

Explore the ruins of Whitby Abbey on the East Cliffe and then walk down the 99 steps into the old part of town with its quirky shops.

Cross the swing bridge to the newer part of town  which nestles below the Edwardian hotels on West Cliffe.
