Happy New Year

Happy New Year everyone.
We are up at the caravan for a few days to mark the end of 2017 and the start of 2018. 2017 has been a mixed year for us.
The caravan has been booked out nearly all season. We have only managed a couple of short breaks for ourselves this year. Its been our best season yet. When we come up to clean the caravan between guests, we always take time after the clean to go into Filey or Scarborough for a walk by the sea or a wander round the gardens and then have a bite to eat and nip to the special shops (Mrs Bishops Doggie Deli for dog treats or Maynards for comics for the younger daughter). So we dot miss out even when we are not staying at the caravan. The beauty treatments have been a great success and we will continue to offer them. However they have had to be postponed to later in the year as Gemma is on maternity leave, with her first child being due at the end of February.
On a personal level, it has been hard loosing Skye (as I posted earlier in the year). After a lot of careful thought, a new Shih Tzu called Caramel has came to live with us, and while he will never replace Skye, he has made it easier to carry on without her both for Amber and Gizmo and for ourselves.
Looking forwards to 2018, we are planning on seeing if there are any extra touches we can add to the caravan to make guest's stays even better, and of course bringing back the beauty treatments as soon as Gemma is back at work.
