The caravan has now been closed down for the winter. We left this afternoon and it has now been drained down ready for next season. The curtains are down for cleaning and everything has been put away. The drain down is when all the ware is switched off and compressed air is blown through the system so there is no water in the pipes, this stops the risk of burst pipes in the spring. The boiler has been switched to frost guard setting, so it will come on automatically when the air temp drops to 3 degrees which also protects the caravan. We are also having insulation fitted under the caravan which will help to keep it warmer during g the cold weather.
The site re-opens at the beginning of March for owners to go up and get their vans ready for the season. This is when the van will get its "spring clean" an outside wash and the veranda jet washing, all there carpets and curtains cleaning., the mattresses cleaning and new mattress protectors put on and everything else washed and cleaned ready for guests.
The season opens to holiday makers on Saturday 10th March. We have already got quite a few bookings for 2018 and are ready to open the books for 2019 bookings in the next few weeks as we have some regular customers who like to book quite far in advance.
